Calls Are Still Calls

When I transferred to the Quality Team, I thought "Aww, there goes my funny stories about the customers". But I totally forgot that I'll be grading the calls, like 120 calls per month. Of course, I'll find some funny stories but it will not be my experience with customers. So if I tell the stories, it would not be as funny. Get what I mean? Anyway, from one of the calls, the officer was trying to spell her name to the customer.

Officer: It's *Sofia
Customer: How you spell? F ah? F for France? Fofia is it?
Officer: No sir, SOFIA. S for Singap..
Customer: Yala..Fofia, F for France...
Officer: No sir, S for Singapore, O for Orlando, F for France, I for India, A for America

Time Is Running Out & I'm Running Away

Today I feel like Britney Spears. Only in terms of the lyrics, of course.

I'm like a ring leader, I call it shot.
I'm like a firecracker, I make it hot.

I feel...liberated. The weight on my shoulder is uplifted. It still lingers but I don't know. I wonder if this feeling is only temporary. It usually is but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

I'm going away next week. Can't wait to feel the hot natural floor, the welcoming wave & the peaceful wind. Mr. Awesome is there waiting for me. Woohoo!

Flu Attack

Lemme see if this works. I don’t have any internet access at the office. Blergh but I have the office e-mail. So let’s try blogging via email.

Owh, this is my first “business” email after 3 years of working. Well, you pick up calls; you don’t really need an email access, do you?

Anyway, I’ve been transferred (I wish I could say promoted but the company is freezing any promotions for this year) to Quality Team. No more working shifts, yippee! But the bad news is without the shifts allowance, my salary is 18% lesser. That’s quite a lot. On the other side, I’ll have my weekends & public holidays. Double hooray!

 

So this is the second week. Last week was very slow week. But today, I got this loads of work to do. I welcome it so much because last week was a drag. I was bored to tears! So I now I have a semi-permanent place (I think there’ll be some renovation soon).

 

Ok, I’m a bit bored. Just teeny weeny because I’m having flu and I can’t concentrate. I’m wearing mask. I look like a ninja.

Enell, The Sports Bra for Plus Size

I received my second parcel today. I was so excited because it's really hard for me, a UK18 sized girl...wait, not a girl anymore. UK18 sized (that's a plus size if you didn't know) lady to find a really good sports bra. To find garments/undergarments for plus-sizers are really hard. I only shop at Dorothy Perkins (well, most of the time) because I love the styles they offer. There are plus size shops around KL but most of the clothes look like makcik-makcik, you know or the colours are sooooo drabby. I can't find a decent red dress if I want to. I'll get maroon, the closest. Bahhh..

I've surfed to almost all of all the website that sells sports bra for plus size and most of them don't send it to Malaysia. I guess it's because Malaysia is one of the countries that has the highest credit card frauds. Korang nih, dahlah pirate, fraudster lak tuh. Haha. I tried looking around in Marks & Spencer in OU but guess what? It was out of stock, even at other branches. They say they only carry few pieces of big size, like 2-3 pieces at one store/branch. God, don't they know that Malaysia has more than "few" plus sized girls? Obviously we have more than 2-3 plus sized girls within 10-20km radius! Blergh.

Anyho, I almost gave up but I found something interesting on eBay Malaysia. This outlet, sandjoutlet, is selling irregular sizes of Enell (you can check out the pictures there, if you want). I believe Enell is the most popular & possibly the best sports bra for plus-sizers. When I googled for sports bra, the name was everywhere. Apparently it used by Oprah & it has front closure hooks which making it super easy to wear.

Irregular size means the bras are not true to actual required measurement. The size usually few inches under a standard Enell bra. It'll be slightly smaller. So I took my measurements, plus minus here & there, I hit the "Buy now" button. Owh yeah, the regular price is USD60 but sandjoutlet is selling for USD70 for 2 pieces! Isn't a bargain? Super! The only thing is I couldn't choose the colour. Your options will be what ever available there. Well, can't complain much since finding sports bra for plus size is really difficult.

So, almost immediately after receiving the parcel, I tried it on. Mine is 1 inch under. I was quite nervous if the bra didn't fit.

........OMG! It fits like a glove! Hurrah! Hurrah! It's so comfortable as if I was wearing a tank top, with bra, of course. Haha. So to check the fit, I jumped, ran across the room (from my bed to the door is only 7-8 feet), did a cartwheel, ok I'm lying on the last part. Haha. In my case, it doesn't prevent bouncing 100%. But it definitely keep the bounce at ultra minimum....Yes..the embarassing bounce. Yeay! I'm very happy with my purchase. Expensive? Yes but it was worth it.

So now I can do jumping jacks without feeling so concious. Haha. Mari kita lompat bintang! 8 lagi!

Make Up Pro 120 Full Colour Palette Eyeshadows

Just bear with me, quite a lot of pictures will be loading in this page plus a video. It's a very long entry. Weeee!

So I received my first ever online purchase. I bought make up. Not just any make up. It has bloody 120 colours! I love watching make up tutorials & I subscribe to this make up artist, Lauren Luke a.k.a Panacea81 on youtube. Click here to subscribe her channel. She shared that she uses this make up palette and the palette can be bought from eBay. I've been comtemplating for months, seriously. So at last, I just hit the "Buy now" button last Monday & received it today. Well, the delivery was on Saturday but nobody was at home. I collected it today and was so excited about it.

I just realised that I haven't taken any pictures after rummaging through the parcel. Hehehe.

The palette is super cheap & the colours are amazingly bright & very pigmented. *Add* There are 2 crushed eyeshadow. But I don't really care as I expected it already though they wrap the item with a lot of bubble wrapper. First picture (below) is the matte colours. It only take one swipe and the other picture is some of the shimmery colours.

There is one tutorial that I really love. I really want to try it. This is the tutorial followed by pictures of me putting on make up to the lil sis since she was going out to have 2nd anniversary dinner with the boyfie (blekkk) Hahaha. Happy 2nd Anniversay, Miss Two-Pie & Mr. Rocker Pitt.



So this make up is inspired by the video above.

Start with the basics. Foundations, concealer & eye makeup primer.


I started with yellow and applied it starting at the inner corner of the eye followed by lime green in the middle. Lastly, I applied pink at the outer corner


I lined the bottom lashline with orange colour.


I used black eyeliner & lined it around her eyes. I made thicker line on top because....


....I stuck fake eyelashes on the lil sis. So at least you can still see the eyeliner. So dramatic yet I'm loving it. I love fake eyelashes.


Sorry, didn't use my specs just now. So I focused at the wrong subject. Anyway, end the make up with loose powder, pinkish brownish blusher & pink/light red lipstick. Don't forget to slap a clear lipgloss!






A clearer picture of the make up but then again dah bersuka-ria, make up cair. Muehehe.

I'll let you in a secret. I'm actually a super hero & one of the team members of The Mighty Mighty GKs. It's true. I told you that I was going away for a weekend right. I did. This is what we did over the weekends. Don't let anybody know, yeah.

Get, Get, Getaway From Here

Weehooo! I'm going away for this weekend. A short getaway. If you want to be precise, it's only 1 and a half day. Why? Because I still have to work the morning shift. Well at least better than nothing. You can't imagine how hard it is to organise a simple getaway for 5 working adults (plus 2 by default). One being working on shift, that would be me and one is working in Singapore. The other 3, just normal working adults but almost always have their weekends fully booked too. Initial plan was to have it in March so we can celebrate the March babies. But tolak sana sini, cuti dapat ke tak, we pushed to April. And it's finally here! Weehoo!!!

I can't wait to spend my weekend swimming in a pool of flowers, makan burger & apple crumble, membuat aksi bodoh sambil menjadi super heroes, animal balloons, games, ikan masinngg dalam hutan with the girls. Wish Ethula & Ben si mak buyung could join!!

Too many exclamation marks!!! But hey, I'm really excited!

What Ever Catches My Eyes

I've created another space for my, hmmm...how to say this without coming off as a poyo....for my creative outputs? Anyway, it's a space where I put my favourite photos & artworks, thus when the name photootsgraphy and tootgraphics combine, it becomes photootsgraphyx. Very mouthful & tongue-twisting a bit, innit? Kami Anak Malaysia

I got to know about "Kami Anak Malaysia" contest when my lil cousin, Ira (who is practically like my lil sis) is in the tv commercial. So I thought of joining it since I can think of few places in Malaysia that totally rock my socks. But the contest is open for primary & secondary schools & I'm 10-20 years older than the eligible joining age. Hahaha. Check out the site here.

In the meantime, check out the TVC. Totally awesome. Mighty proud to be Anak Malaysia. My lil cousin is at 1:43. Bak kata orang ramai, mostly strangers "Eh, eh awak nih mix ke? Nampak macam mix Benggali." Hahaha. She's 100% Malay & absolutely a minor, not legal & still underage. (I think I can hear my lil cousin screaming for this. Sorry, babe. I'm mighty protective. Ask Yanie) Hahaha. I think you get my point. So pedo, back off.




*I can already predict eye-rolling action* but being on TV is not something new in our family. The kakak (which remind me..woi, blog gila private untuk invited readers. Gila tak invite. Kedekut btol.) was in the Planta advertisement when she was 7 years old. Do you guys remember Planta ad for raya, circa 1987, where there was KTM train, the brother was coming home to his kampung. The house was beside paddy field, if I'm not mistaken. And there was this girl posing with her baju kurung in front of the mirror. Ha, that was my kakak. The ad ran for few years during fasting month. I remember I had to follow my mom to Melaka for the shooting. The only things I remember were the typical stairs of Malacca house & that varieties of air kotak. Gila minum air oren kotak banyak gila. Hahaha. Kata free ;) and I was 6 years old at that time. Imagine 6 years old kid drinking loads of boxed orange juice. Haha. Luckily I have big bladder. Proven by an ultra sound when I went to the hospital to check stomach pain I had. Ok, that's a totally irrelevant story.

The kakak was in few other ads. Printed & TVC as well. And the lil sis was in....errr...I think I shall not reveal it. If I did, there'll be this annoying little voice screaming all the way from Shah Alam. It'll be louder when the weekends come cause she'll be back at home. Hahaha. If you wanna know, maybe, just maybe you can bribe me. So now, I'm waiting for another lil cousin of mine also practically my lil sis, Ireen, Ira's sister to be on the TV. Perhaps a dancing competition. She's good. Or maybe a sushi contest ;)

I'm flying with the stars. Rasa macam duduk kat Hollywood. On the other note, I went for Sunburst. I would like to summarise it in 4 words...Korn was fucking awesome. Also I went for Jamiroquai last Sunday. Fucking awesommmmeeeeeee! I shall write the full review (with pictures) when I have the free time. If you have added me in Facebook, you would have already seen the pictures. Untuk orang-orang yang takde Facebook yakni Xumb, hang tunggu la sampai chek upload kat sini ya. Hahahah.

I just realised the page is too colourful. I love colours especially the bright one (not neon ok) but it's too colourful for a blog, don't you think? I'll change it later.

Incubus News

As you all know, Incubus is my favourite band & BBoyd is my epitome of a perfect guy. Let me stress it again, MY epitome of a perfect guy ;) Anyway, they are coming out with a new album. Wait. Well not exactly new but a greatest hits record called Monuments and Melodies. There'll be 3 new songs, I think. One of the new song is called Black Heart Inertia. The CD will be released on 16th June 2009. Ergghhh, that'll be another 2 months. Ngih. I want to pre-order the record but unfortunately the pre-order is only available in USA. Incubus also have announced their Summer tour dates. Of course, the tours are all in USA. I hope they come to Kuala Lumpur again.

Boyd, Pasillas, Kilmore, Kenney & Einziger, if anyone of you or maybe your agent/manager/person who handles your tours & shows ever, ever stumble upon this blog (my wishful thinking) please, please, please say yes to the Malaysian event organiser to have the tour here again...so I can hug BBoyd & make fool of myself in front of Kenney again. Haha.

Excited is Not The Same With Sexcited

1. In a few hours Sunburst will start. Though the international acts are not my favourite artists but it's a music festival. It should be fun!

2. In a few hours, I'll be purchasing a cheap 50mm lens for Click the camera. I'm going to try my new lens at Sunburst.

3. I was sitting in Hartamas & I think...I THINK the people next to our table were band members of Russian Winters. I told Huss, they look like some rock stars. Since Sunburst is tomorrow, I said, they might be Russian Winters. Never seen them before. So I googled. Well, their pictures in myspace look like the people next to my table but I'm not too sure but I think it was them. Yeah, but no but yeah but no.....but yeah. Anyway, I think that 2 of them are cute. Well, I'm a sucker for a rock star mat salleh. Haha. Though one of them looked like he needed a hair wash & I'll be happy to do it for him ;) Hahahaah. I've listened to their music in their myspace page. I like it.

4. I bought new top for Sunburst. The last time I shop was...early last year. As you all know, I hate shopping.
